Protect your home against radon gas from day one

Radon gas in new homes - As your new home is built, you can install a system to keep radon gas out without breaking the bank. A radon mitigation system not only stops high radon levels from building up, reducing the risk of radon-related lung cancer, but it also helps control moisture in the house. Check out some of the work we've done.

Next, take a look at the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) voluntary guidelines for radon control in new homes, then give us a call to discuss your system!

How we protect new homes from radon gas

For a new construction radon system, we will install an air channel before the foundation is poured to prevent gases from rising into the building. After the foundation is poured, cracks and openings are sealed as a second method for gas prevention. Next, a passive radon system or vent pipe is placed from beneath the foundation through the roof to vent radon above the home.

Once the building is finished, it is tested to ensure the home has low radon levels. If it still tests high, the passive system can be activated by adding a fan to reduce radon levels further.

Installing a system during construction can add value to the home and protect those inside. If you are building a new home and considering a radon mitigation system, contact us at 208-225-8500
